Brief biography

David Harlan is a theatre artist, writer and educator. He holds an MFA in theatre with emphases in directing and playwriting from the University of Idaho.

Dave Harlan, Laurie Kincman, Mandy Kolbe, Anna Mcardle Wooden and Gregory Parmeter, all Theatre & Dance, presented "Ken Ludwig's The Game's Afoot or Holmes for the Holidays" as part of the 2025-2026 season on Thursday, Dec. 4 in Toland Theatre. The production, with direction and fight choreography by Greg Parmeter, featured the work of Mandy Kolbe (scenic design), Nate Mohlman (technical direction), Anna Wooden (costume design), Laurie Kincman (dramaturgy), and David Harlan (snow man), along with the work of students Amber Meyers and Avery Weston (lighting design), Alex Haaland (sound design), Ellie Hemming (props design), Hailey Kluck (assistant scenic design and assistant fight choreography) and Amanda Visger, Dawn Havican, and Ilex Rosen (stage management). It ran Dec. 4-7, 2025.

The production ran Oct. 10-19, 2025.

The production, directed by Nic Barilar, featured the work of Musical Director Kathryn Moran; Choreographer Ashley Dobrogosz; Scenic Designer Mandy Kolbe; Technical Director Nate Mohlman; Costume Designer Anna Wooden; Sound Designer & Engineer David Harlan; Projections Designer Laurie Kincman; Fight Director Greg Parmeter; Scene Shop Supervisor Dylan Curvin; and Costume Shop Supervisor Michelle Collyar. The creative team also included students Sage Goetsch, stage manager; Avery Weston, dramaturg; Ozzy Glazer, props designer; Connor Pangburn, sound designer; and Alumna Tracy Joe, lighting designer. It ran April 25-May 4, 2025 in Toland Theatre.
