Brief biography

Kathryn has been working in Theatre for the last 10+ years, with the focus of Scenic Design and Technical Direction. Working primarily in educational Theatre she is excited to join the UWL theatre department in the fall of 2019. She has worked in various theatres from North Dakota, Minnesota, Massachusetts, and Michigan.

Professional history

Hello! My name is Kathryn Link and I've been working professionally in theatre over 10+ years. In fall 2019 I joined UWLAX as the Assistant Technical Director and lecturer. Past experience includes Technical Direction, Scenic Design, Props, and Scenic Painting. Past work has included The Hilberry Company at WSU, Fargo Public Schools, Minnesota State University Moorhead, The Stage at Island Park, West Fargo Public Schools, and Hope Summer Repertory Theater Company. Some individual and freelance work includes Richmond Ballet Company, Fargodome, Shanley High School, and NDSU opera. An internship I'll never forget was at Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival in the beautiful Berkshires, MA. I've also completed the summer scenic painting course at Colbalt Studios. 



Amanda Kolbe, Kathryn Link and Megan Morey, all Theatre Arts, presented "I Can Do That Backward--and in Steel-Toed Boots" at UWL's Creative Imperatives on March 2 in La Crosse.

Joseph Anderson, Michelle Collyar, Benjamin Golden, Amanda Kolbe, Mary Leonard, Kathryn Link, Kathryn Moran and Megan Morey, all Theatre Arts, presented "Little Women" at Toland Theatre on Feb. 28 in La Crosse. The Department of Theatre Arts produced the musical, Little Women, in the Toland Theatre, Center for the Arts February 28-March 1 & March 5-8, 2020. Theatre faculty included: Mary Leonard (director), Kathryn Moran (musical director), Joseph Anderson (costume designer), Michelle Collyar (costume supervisor), Ben Golden (lighting designer), Megan Morey (scenic designer/technical director), Kathryn Link (scene shop supervisor/assistant technical director), and Amanda Kolbe (props designer/scenic artist).
