Brief biography

I grew up in La Crosse and received my undergraduate degree from UW-L in Recreation Management with an emphasis in environmental and outdoor program.  I received my Master in Business Administration with a focus in Leadership and Ethics from Viterbo University. I am an adjunct professor at UW-L in Environmental Studies and Recreation Management.  I also serve on the adjunct faculty at Viterbo University teaching leadership, ethics and values.

I direct WeHaKee Camp for Girls, a multi-national girls' camp in northern Wisconsin.  Previously, I directed Catholic Youth Camp in Minnesota, was Chief Operating Officer for Girl Scout Council in St. Paul, Minnesota and formerly the CEO of the Girls Scouts based in Wausau,  Wisconsin.  I have been a member of the American Camp Association National Board of Directors and chaired their Board Development Committee.

My research, Organizational Citizenship Behavior of Camp Staff, The Effect of Transformational Leadership and Job Diagnostic Dimensions was selected for presentation by the American Camp Association at their 2012 and 2013 national conferences.  I received an AAUW Careeer Development Grant in 2012.
