Brief biography

Dr. Peter Haried is Chair of the Information Systems (IS) Department and Professor of IS at the College of Business Administration, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He received his Ph.D. in Management Science with a concentration in Management Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His research focuses on: IS offshoring, IS ethics, internet gambling, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), project management, electronic health records, social networking, and electronic commerce loyalty. He has published over 50 papers in international conferences and journals. Some of his recent publications can be found in: Journal of Global Information Technology Management, Journal of Computer Information Systems, Project Management Journal, Journal of Information Technology Cases and Application Research, Journal of International Technology and Information Management, International Journal of Information Technology Project Management, International Journal of Information Systems and Social Change, International Journal of Virtual Communities and Social Networking, Journal of Business and Behavioral Sciences, Academy of Information and Management Sciences Journal, and Business and Professional Ethics Journal.

Currently, Dr. Haried serves as the academic and program director for the Health Information Management and Technology (HIMT) program offered at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.

In Dr. Haried's free time he enjoys spending time with his loving wife and two children.  Dr. Haried is also a huge sports fan and he spends his time watching basketball, the Green Bay Packers, and the New York Yankees.  He is also active in the stock market, so if anyone has a hot stock tip feel free to share.
