Brief biography
Terrie McNamara is an Assistant Professor of Exercise and Sports Science with a background in collegiate strength and conditioning, where she spent 10 years training college athletes in numerous sports such as Football, Women's Soccer, Men and Women's Lacrosse, Track and Field, and Men's Gymnastics. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and brings extensive applied experience from her years as a strength coach.
Dr. McNamara's teaching focuses on strength and conditioning, exercise program design, coaching methods, and applied sports performance. Her research centers on athletic identity, the student-athlete experience, and athletic retirement.
