Student Affairs Administration
Calendars
Course offerings for upcoming terms may be found via the Class Timetable.
Dates for future terms can be found on the Academic Calendar.
Program requirements are outlined in the Graduate Catalog.
In addition to the courses listed below, our program requires students to gain 600 hours of supervised field experience over the two years in the program. Our students meet the field experience requirement through graduate assistantships/internships, full time work in higher education, student affairs, or an adjacent position and maintain a position while enrolled.
Part-time enrollment (taking just one class per term) is allowed, but students must be enrolled in at least 5 credits to be eligible for loans.
Below is the typical course sequence. Some course may only be offered once a year, so students should work with the Graduate Program Director (see Our People) to discuss alternate degree completion pathways.
Online cohorts (asynchronous)
All courses are offered in an online asynchronous modality (listed as OA in the course schedule). This means students can expect regular weekly assignments, but no live meeting requirements. Some instructors may provide synchronous options (e.g., small groups, 1:1 consults), but none are required.
Online students will be able to hold UWL or partner institution graduate assistantships while completing courses in the online asynchronous format.
The following is a typical course schedule, which may be adjusted depending on student enrollment. Changes to this scheduled will be communicated to all students.
