Vist FAQs

Picking the best visit option

We offer a variety of visit options, and students often visit campus a couple of times, participating in a variety of visits. Here are a few things to consider:

  • First-time visitor suggestion: Admissions Information Session
This is a great way to get a general overview of campus and the application process, along with a campus tour
  • Most comprehensive visit suggestion: Campus Close-Up
Make the most of your time on campus by taking this opportunity for an in-depth look at UWL. This visit type is recommended for Juniors and Seniors and is only offered five times per year. These dates fill quickly, so sign up early!
  • Campus tour suggestion: add an Individual Appointment
If you register for a Campus Tour, we suggest that you consider adding an Individual Appointment. Take the opportunity to visit with a member of our Admissions team and get your questions answered

Best options for transfer students

Considering transferring to UWL? We offer several visit options designed to fit your needs, including one-on-one appointments with a transfer admissions counselor, campus tours, and virtual experiences. Explore your options to find the visit that works best for you.

Parents & familes

We encourage parents, family members, or supporters to join students during their campus visit. It's a great opportunity to explore campus together, ask questions, and learn more about the UWL experience.

Walking distance

All of our group visit options include a 75 min guided walking tour. This tour meanders through our beautiful campus and campus buildings while visiting with one of our Vanguards.

Weather & what to wear

Campus tours are held rain or shine, so we recommend dressing for Wisconsin weather! Whether it's umbrellas, winter coats, or t-shirts, we are lucky enough to offer all four seasons!

Umbrellas are available in Admissions for our guests to borrow if needed.
