For students in grades 5 & 6

Student Union, UW-La Crosse

Kids' College offers students hands-on learning and activities in an environment that is designed to be supportive, enriching and—most importantly—fun! Students work alongside UW-La Crosse faculty and experts in various fields who invite experimentation, investigation and involvement.

Attendance is limited to select students who:

  • Attend schools with current Mississippi Valley Gifted and Talented Network memberships.
  • Are approved by their school's Gifted and Talented Coordinator.
  • The Mississippi Valley Gifted and Talented Network will send registration links directly to member schools' Gifted and Talented Coordinators.

Teachers, please collect and bring print copies of completed consent forms to Kids' College. The forms will be collected when you check-in at the event. Students without consent forms will not be permitted to participate.

Registration for this program will open at noon on March 23, 2026.

Privacy Policy
Registration implies permission for photos and publicity unless Graduate & Extended Learning is notified in writing prior to the program. Attendees must receive approval from their school’s gifted and talented coordinator prior to registering. Registration is taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cancellation Policy
Substitutions welcome. No refunds for cancellation. Substitutions must be submitted in writing to ex@uwlax.edu prior to the event.

Important Dates and Parking

March 23, 2026 Registration for Kids' College 2026 opens at noon
Registration is limited to select students who: 
  • Attend schools with current Mississippi Valley Gifted and Talented Network memberships
  • Are approved by their school's Gifted and Talented Coordinator
  • The Mississippi Valley Gifted and Talented Network will send registration links directly to member schools' Gifted and Talented Coordinators
March 27, 2026 Registration closes (or earlier if all spots are filled)
April 10, 2026 Kids' College at UW-La Crosse
  • Teachers should ensure that paper copies of all necessary forms are on file for each participating student
  • Forms will be submitted to UW-La Crosse staff at check-in
  • Students must have completed forms on file to participate in Kids' College

Parking
  • Parking on-campus in commuter lots is available at no cost for vehicles with municipal, state, or federal plates. 
  • Busses may drop-off students in front of the Student Union on Farwell Street. Bus parking is available only on 16th Street, 17th Street, East Avenue, and Myrick Park Lane.
  • All other vehicles must pay for parking using the Passport Parking App. Parking is $1/hour in UWL lots.
