The University of Wisconsin System’s mandatory employee trainings are essential for ensuring compliance, promoting a safe and respectful workplace, and reducing risk. These trainings help employees understand their responsibilities in areas such as information security, sexual harassment prevention, child protection, and student privacy. not only a condition of employment at UWL but may also act as a prerequisite for pay-increase eligibility. Failure to complete the training may result in disciplinary action, loss of access to certain systems or data, and ineligibility for compensation adjustments. All Mandatory Trainings should be completed with in 30 days of employment at UWL and can be found in Workday Learning.
- Information Security Awareness- Annually
- Preventing Sexual Harassment & Violence- Every 3 years
- Mandated Reporter - Once (unless updated)
- FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act)- every 3 years
