The University of Wisconsin Office of Policy Analysis and Research (OPAR)provides student statistics and publishes reports about outcomes and trends within the UW System.
The U.S. Department of Education IPEDS is the primary source for data on colleges, universities, and technical and vocational postsecondary institutions in the United States. IPEDS reports for UW System campuses are available from the UWSA Office of Policy Analysis & Research.
Also access the IPEDS Data Center to look up additional data for one institution or compare institutions across the nation on a wide range of variables. Data is available in these categories:
- Institutional Characteristics
- Pricing and Tuition
- 12 Month Enrollment
- Fall Enrollment
- Graduation Rates
- Student Financial Aid
- Human Resources
- Data Feedback Reports - a report comparing the institution's data to a named set of peer institutions.
Provides a source of basic, comparable information about public colleges and institutions presented in a common, user-friendly format. An initiative of the AAC&U and APLU , all UW System schools participate in this effort. The UWL college portrait is linked here.
A required element of UWL's participation in the VSA College Portrait is administration of a survey of post-graduation plans for all students completing a bachelor's degree in the spring semester. We publish annually the process undertaken to administer the survey and the survey results.
