Brief biography

 She is an Associate Professor (tenured) at the Accountancy Department at UWL. She has a Ph.D. degree in Accounting and International Business. She has gained academic and practical experience in the United States, Norway, Finland, France, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, the Caribbean Islands, and Turkey.

Education

She completed her dissertation on “CEO Compensation of Listed Companies in Switzerland” in November 2015, and she obtained her Ph.D. degree in Accounting and International Management (double major) with distinction from the University of St Gallen, Switzerland (AACSB and EQUIS Accredited) in February 2016. 

Career

Teaching history

She has lectured bachelor and master students on International Finance, Financial Performance Management, Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Research Methods.

Moreover, I attended a course on "Teaching with AI" to implement AI into the Cost Accounting Course successfully. Auburn University- Teaching with Artificial Intelligence (AI) Training

Professional history

She was an Associate Professor in Norway and a visiting Professor in Finland, France, and Turkey. She was an online lecturer at the universities in Finland and in Great Britain.

Before starting a Ph.D., she worked for seven years as an Auditor at Deloitte and Ernst &Young in Turkey, the Caribbean, the USA, and Luxembourg.

During her Ph.D., she worked for five years as a Research Associate at the University of St Gallen and the University of Lucerne, ASA in Switzerland.

Research and publishing

She is a Regional Governance Partner at the Board Foundation (BF), Switzerland.  She has supervised various master theses and research projects. Her articles on Corporate Governance, Financial Accounting (IFRS convergence), and Managerial Accounting were published in international peer-reviewed journals. She is the author of a book on CEO compensation, published by Springer Publisher. She is also an editor of the books on Academic and Educational Entrepreneurship and High Impact Teaching Practices (HIPs) in Business Education, published by Springer and Edward Elgar Publishers.
