Public Speaking Center Appointments
To make your appointment in the Tutoring & Learning Center:
- Book through the Navigate App
- Click the "+" in the top right corner
- Click "Schedule Appointment"
- What type of appointment would you like to schedule? Select "Tutoring"
- Service: Select "Public Speaking Center Consultation"
- Pick a Date
- Press "Find Available Time"
- Select the 30-minute time slot
- Select whether you want any reminders.
- Click "Schedule"
Note: Drop-ins are welcome, but come second to scheduled appointments.
If you need assistance with a group speech, we can help you in two ways:
- A 30 minute speech focused on a specific aspect of the presentation.
- Schedule two back to back sessions (60 minutes) with the same tutor where they can help your group with the entire presentation (similar to an individual speech).
During your appointment, the tutor will track your information Navigate.

NOM Sips & Eats! The best acai bowls (I love customizing my own!). It also has the cutest interior ever and they just opened a second location!

What are you looking forward to most about tutoring?
Hearing about the different topics and stories that people are interested in sharing. It's always fascinating to see what ideas are being talked about and I feel like I learn something every time I interact with someone at the PSC.

What is your "hidden gem" in La Crosse that people should check out?
Super Street Tacos. I began going my freshman year and I can never get enough. It is located right off campus and has some of the best food in the La Crosse area. I would definitely recommend anything on their menu!

What is your 'hidden gem' in La Crosse that people should check out?
My hidden gem in La Crosse is Jules coffee house in the heart of downtown. It is the perfect place to get away and study!

What are you most excited for this semester?
I am looking forward to connecting with fellow students and getting to see their personalities shine through their speeches as well as helping them to gain confidence with public speaking. I am also looking forward to the experience and knowledge I will gain in my new classes with my major!

What is your 'hidden gem' in La Crosse that people should check out?
Global Grounds coffee shop is my favorite place to hang out. It’s not exactly a "hidden gem" since it’s just a short walk from campus, but I love studying there or enjoying a cup of coffee while socializing with friends. My favorite drink is called an eternal sunshine; I highly recommend trying one if you’re a fellow coffee lover!

Although this might not be a "hidden" gem, the best breakfast around here is the Blue Moon Cafe. Not only do they have the best cup of coffee EVER, but their breakfast is out of this world! Highly Recommend!!
