Orchestra
The UWL Symphony Orchestra is committed to performing classic and contemporary literature. We will endeavor to craft moving performances to enrich the lives of our students and our community. This ensemble is open to all string students; the wind and percussion sections will be largely serviced by members of the UWL Wind Ensemble. The Symphony Orchestra performs at least two concerts each semester and often participates in collaborative efforts across the community.
Enroll in MUS 156 and attend the ensemble placement hearings as provided below. The Symphony Orchestra rehearses Monday and Wednesday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in CFA 56. For more information contact Dr. Gaines at mgaines@uwlax.edu or during student hours in 142 Lowe Center for the Arts.
Community members desiring to perform with the orchestra are welcome to join us! Write to Dr. Gaines for more information.
