Our mission:
The Center for Transformative Justice is entrusted to center historically marginalized communities, liberate the learner, and disrupt inequitable systems to advance intersectional social justice and equity in our collective spheres of influence.
Our values:
- Embody cultural humility within and outside of ourselves.
- Educate UWL campus and the greater community on contemporary equity and social justice issues.
- Improve retention of historically marginalized communities at UWL.
- Ensure accessible and supportive outlet for those impacted by hate and bias.
- Foster critical feeling alongside critical thinking.
- Promote understanding of power & positionality through social identity development.
- Radically empower social justice activism through creative mediums.
