University Reservations COVID-19 Procedural Changes 

As a result of the continued concern with COVID-19 community spread, the UWL Executive Policy Group has issued the following procedural changes: 

Community/External Events expanding section

Reservation requests for the 2021-2022 academic year are being accepted.  They will be tentative and may be altered/cancelled at any time to comply with COVID avoidance guidelines.

UWL Community Reservations expanding section
  • Through spring and summer of 2021, groups may request meetings for a maximum of 10 attendees
  • Requests for tentative reservations in the Student Union, Cleary Center, Hall of Nations in Centennial Hall, Conference rooms in Centennial Hall and Wimberly Hall, Murphy Library rooms 150 and 153, and outdoor events, can be submitted for the 2021-2022 academic year.  The Union theater and Bluffs event space will be available on a conditional and limited basis.  Please contact rneitzel@uwlax.edu for more information.
  • For classrooms in academic buildings, please wait until the week of August 30th to begin submitting your requests.
  • Current COVID-19 guidelines for social distancing must be followed: 
  • A 6’ distance should be maintained between people. 
  • Room capacity is limited to approximately 30% of normal capacity. 
  • Face coverings should be utilized by all attendees. 
  • Due to facility capacity changes, virtual EMS has been turned off, and reservations requests should be made through surveys found here:

  • Food will not be allowed to be brought in. All food requests must go through University Dining/Catering. Contact Kelly Kamrowski, Catering Director, at 608-785-6485 or kkamrowski@uwlax.edu for options. 
  • Facility limitations – the following spaces will be utilized for classroom instruction or as an alternate dining location for the spring semester, so weekday access will be limited: 
  • Centennial Hall – Hall of Nations (dining) 
  • Cleary Center – Great Hall (classroom) 
  • Murphy Library – Room 150 (classroom) 
  • Student Union – 3105, 3110, 3314, (dining), The Bluffs (2110 & 2130 classrooms, 2120 additional dining), Movie Theater (classroom
