Thomas Kernozek

Thomas Kernozek, Health Professions, presented "Biomechanics Careers Demystified" at the American College of Sports Medicine Webinar on Sept. 24 online. Kernozek served as a panelist with the Biomechanics Interest Group within ACSM, where they explored the educational and research possibilities existing in the field. It was a nice experience to share insights and engage with students learning about careers in biomechanics and how to get involved.

Nishele Lenards, Health Professions, co-authored the book "Mosby's Radiation Therapy: Study Guide and Exam Review (2nd Ed)", published on Thursday, Sept. 18 by Elsevier. Lenards is the program director of the graduate program in Medical Dosimetry.

Marjorie Bazluki, CATL, and Megan Litster, Health Professions, presented "Quality Assignment Design Using the Transparency in Learning and Teaching (TILT) Framework" at the Improving University Teaching Annual Conference on July 18 in University of Westminster, London UK. Conference theme was Redefining Education: Navigating Sustainability and Innovation in a VUCA World.

Physical Therapy (DPT): approx. 45 students graduating Spring 2027

Occupational Therapy (MSOT): approx. 25 students graduating December 2026

UWL PT Student Professional Student Development Fund
The fund is used to support students to attend professional conferences, present research at meetings, offset costs for special educational experiences, and provide other resources for their professional development. Your participation in this event makes these opportunities possible!

Occupational Therapy Student Scholarship Fund
This fund supports several scholarships that are awarded to students prior to internships to help defray the extra costs associated with travel and moving for internships.

Students are invited to practice their interviewing skills and seek advice from employers during practice interviews.  Please indicate your desire to participate in this activity by checking the box on the registration form.
