Event Schedule & Information
Friday, December 5 - Saturday, December 6, 2025
We look forward to welcoming each of you to campus for our inaugural Honor Band!
Friday, 12/5:
3:30p check-in – UWL Center for the Arts (CFA) Lobby near Annett Recital Hall (Map and Parking information follow)
4:30-6:30p – Rehearsal in CFA room (Instrumental Rehearsal Room in basement of CFA)
7:30p – UWL Jazz Concert – Student Union Building, Bluffs Ballroom, 7:30pm
Saturday, 12/6:
8:30a – Honor Band Rehearsal (CFA room 56)
10:00a – Sectionals/Masterclasses (CFA)
11:00a – Rehearsal in CFA 56
12:00p – Lunch break (we will move to Student Union Building (food options); please be prepared to purchase or bring your own lunch).
1:00p – Sound Check/Rehearsal with UWL Wind Ensemble in Bluffs Ballroom (2nd floor of Student Union)
1:30p – Honor Band Rehearsal in Bluffs Ballroom
3:00p – Break
3:45p – on stage in Bluffs
4:00p – Concert! – The Honor Band will begin promptly at 4:00pm followed by the UWL Wind Ensemble performance, concluding with the joint performance of both ensembles.
Concert Attire:
At check-in, we will furnish an Honor Band T-shirt to be worn at the concert with your choice of other clothing. Be comfortable and casual.

There are two areas to know for parking:
- For morning drop-off/registration: Please note that the parking lot next to the Lowe Center for the Arts remains under construction. There is a temporary parking lot (C-11 on the map – corner of 15th Street and Pine St.) where you may park without fee while completing registration, etc. The CFA is the building directly adjacent to this parking lot; enter and proceed to the 1st floor lobby for registration (outside of Annett Recital Hall).
From the campus map, the CFA is building 24.
- For the afternoon concert: This event will be held at Bluffs Ballroom in the Student Union building. You may park without fee for the duration of the concert in the large parking ramp between 17th Street and Farwell St.
From the campus map, the Student Union is building 36.
Parents can use Lot C-11 to drop off their students from 3:00pm-3:45pm on Friday, December 5th. There is also a 15-minute loading zone on 15th Street.
If any participants are driving themselves and will be staying for the duration of the day, they can pay-to-park in the Ramp (levels 1-3) by using the Passport Parking mobile app. The City of La Crosse also offers paid parking on their streets by CFA using the ParkMobile app.
Accommodations
If needed, several options close to campus in downtown La Crosse include The Radisson, The Courtyard, Home2 Suites, and The Hampton Inn & Suites.
