Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District debate set for Oct. 30

Candidates in the race to represent Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District will square off in a debate at UW-La Crosse. The event is open to the public.

Incumbent Rep. Ron Kind, a Democrat, will debate opponent Steve Toft, a Republican.

Along with the UWL Joint Legislative/Regents Committee, debate sponsors include the La Crosse Tribune, WXOW News 19, WKBT News 8, League of Women Voters, WLSU/WPR, and WIZM/Midwest Family Radio.

Campus sponsors include: Academic Staff CouncilFaculty SenateUniversity Staff CouncilStudent Association, Political Science/Public Administration Department, and Political Science and Public Administration Association (PSPAA). 

Wisconsin's 3rd Congressional District encompasses Adams, Buffalo, Crawford, Dunn, Eau Claire, Grant, La Crosse, Pepin, Pierce, Portage, Trempealeau, and Vernon counties. It also includes parts of Chippewa, Jackson, Juneau, Monroe, Richland, and Wood counties.
