University Staff Council

Welcome to the UW-La Crosse University Staff Council!

ABOUT USC:

Created in November 2009, the UW-La Crosse University Staff Council (USC) endeavors to promote ongoing education, professional development activities, and communication between all classified employees and the broader University community.  On July 1, 2015 the University Staff Council changed its name from the Classified Staff Council. The Council will promote a positive professional environment for all University Staff employees (represented, non-represented, limited term, and project appointments) based on equality, respect, and a spirit of collegiality between members of the University community, including faculty, staff, and students.  The Council members will serve as advisors to the Chancellor and other University administrators.

The Council consists of 13 elected members and meets the second Tuesday of every month at 2:00 p.m. in 325 Graff Main Hall.
LOCATION CHANGE (8.5.20)- Due to remote work schedules, Council has been meeting virtually through WebEx. You can access the meeting link via the meeting notification email or the Campus Calendar.
Meetings are open to all university personnel, and we invite you to share ideas, comments, and concerns with the Council.  The Chancellor has allowed release time for University Staff to attend the meetings.

We encourage all University Staff to come to any meeting and find out what's going on or share your opinions.

Slideshow of University Staff in action

University Staff Council would like to offer our sincere appreciation to our colleagues, specifically, those in the category of University Staff for their continuous effort and dedication to UWL. We recognize the past months have brought challenges both in our professional and personal worlds, but it has been through your dedicated work to UWL that we have been able to run as smoothly as possible. This slideshow is a compilation of various work titles under the University Staff category in hopes others will recognize the various professions that are also instrumental in the everyday functions of our university.

Due to time constraints and varying positions, the slideshow pictures will be continuously updated.
