- Equipment is tangible property having a useful life of more than one year and a per-unit acquisition cost of $5,000 or more.
- Supplies are items that may or may not be consumable that cost less than $5,000.
- IT & technology:
- During budget planning, PIs should reach out to IT for prior written approval of software and technology purchases as well as pricing information. This will simplify the post-award purchase process.
- Facility rental:
- For rental of on-campus facilities, during budget planning, PIs should reach out to Reservations for facility and cost information. A facility rate sheet is also available.
