We are excited that you and your student are a part of the community here at UWL and want to tell you about some ways that you can be involved in their experience on-campus.
As a parent/guardian of a UWL student, you have the opportunity to apply to be a part of the Parent Advisory Board. The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Parent Advisory Board is a group of current parents who are committed to investing in UWL and its future by serving in an advisory capacity.
Through your active engagement, you are making a direct impact on your student’s experience at UWL.

Parent Advisory Board
The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Parent Advisory Board is a group of current parents/guardians who are committed to investing in UWL and its future by supporting programs, philanthropy, encouraging involvement, and providing feedback to the Vice Chancellor of Access, Belonging & Student Engagment. Through active engagement, Parent Advisory Board members make a direct impact on the student experience.
Parent Advisory Board Members will:
- Use their experience, the experience of their students, and other parents' experience to choose an area of growth to focus attention on improving.
- Support student and family programming by welcoming and connecting with all UWL Parents through hosting a Family Weekend event. Utilize this event to foster and build relationships.
- PAB members attend this event and mingle with other families, in doing so, learning areas of growth of our institution.
Requirements
- Have at least one student currently enrolled at UWL
- Serve a one year renewable term.
- Share personal expertise/skills
