How to apply
There is a myth out there that "artists are born, not made", or that only some people are capable of creativity. The Department of Art welcomes artists of all abilities, and our majors and minors come from all skill levels. We have students with intensive art training from high school working next to students who took their first studio course as an elective at UWL.
New and transfer students can find detailed information about applying to UWL from the Admissions Office. However, we encourage prospective students looking at colleges or current ones considering changing majors to come for a studio tour. The Faculty are always on the lookout for up and coming talent. We would encourage you to complete the form "Recruit Me!" to start your journey with the Art Department.
