Research in the Rotunda 2026 will be Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the Capitol in Madison.
The Universities of Wisconsin host Research in the Rotunda - A Celebration of Undergraduate Student Research. Up to six posters from each UW campus are selected and students are invited to present them at the Capitol Rotunda. Members of the Board of Regents, Universities of Wisconsin Administration, legislators, and representatives of the Governor's Office are invited to view the displays. The SRCEL office covers the registration and transportation costs for students selected to attend this annual spring event.
Students selected to present will have the option to provide a 3- to 5-minute presentation video in addition to their poster.
Students interested in attending should fill out the submission survey. Please prepare the following information:
- Student presenter(s):
- Student author(s): (do not include those who are listed as presenters)
- Student's intended graduation date:
- Mentor's name:
- Mentor's department:
- Poster title:
- Abstract (written for a general audience):
The information must be submitted via the submission survey no later than the first Friday of December. If your poster is selected, registration information will be sent to you and your mentor prior to the end of Fall semester.
Please note that presenting at Research in the Rotunda means missing a day of Wednesday classes. You should determine whether or not this is feasible before committing to attend the conference. If requested by your instructor(s), SRCEL can provide a written request to excuse you from class(es).
