Information Systems (IS) study centers on planning, analysis, design, and implementation of information systems that include technologies such as computer networks and database applications. Students develop and use computer-based information systems in business environments in preparation for careers in information technology-related areas.

Attention IS and BA Majors!

All Information Systems majors and Business Analytics majors now have access to the IS Student Lounge/Resource Center (Wing 31) during building hours using their student ID.

UWL Alumni: Jeanne Sands, VP, Clinical Consultancy and Phillip Buschena, Business Analyst from SSM Health visited both IS-411 and IS-420 to discuss opportunities in Health Information Systems and announced new internship opportunities targeted towards UWL students.

The IS Department has joined the Salesforce Education Community. Salesforce is a CRM solution that brings companies and customers together. Many companies utilize Salesforce, and the IS department will train you for these opportunities.  Take advantage of this opportunity. Apply to the IS Major or Minor.
IS-320 will now be including the Salesforce platform. Upon completion of IS-320 students will earn industry recognized Salesforce.com credentials. 

The course teaches the business value of each Salesforce application, basics of the security and data access model, business process automation, reporting requirements and considerations, data management and analytics.
