Mission statement

We are developing socially responsible leaders and team members, and evidence-based decision-makers who are prepared to effectively manage people and processes in a global and diverse organizational environment.

At the completion of their Management major, students will be able to...

  1. Demonstrate critical management content knowledge related to managing and leading organizational processes, strategy and people.
  2. Apply evidence-based decision-making to organizational issues.
  3. Demonstrate understanding of effective teamwork and leadership skills.
  4. Demonstrate understanding of, and strategies for managing organizations in, a global business environment.
  5. Demonstrate cross-cultural awareness.
  6. Apply social responsibility and ethical concepts to decision-making within organizations.
  7. Demonstrate understanding of diversity and inclusion in organizations.

The Management Department has been an active member of PRME or the Principles for Responsible Management Education since 2022. PRME certifies that our students are building upon responsible management principles including sustainability, ethics, and social responsibility.

PRME is supported by the United Nations and was launched by the United Nations Global Compact in 2007. The Management Department is proud to be a part of PRME and has implemented its 6 Principles into our curriculum.
