Senior Visit Day
A page within Admissions
Overview
UW-La Crosse’s Senior Visit Day is an optional visit reserved for admitted high school seniors. During Senior Visit Day, students meet with representatives from our academic programs, attend information sessions about opportunities at UWL, learn about campus resources, tour campus and residence halls, and learn about next steps toward becoming an Eagle!
Senior Visit Day gives admitted students an opportunity to see campus before making a final commitment and attending START (new freshman registration) in June. We hope to answer all of your questions!

How can I prepare for the day?
When you arrive to campus, use the address 615 East Avenue N, to navigate to our designated visitor parking areas (C-12 or levels 1-3 in our ramp). Our campus is a busy place, so please allow yourself a few extra minutes to park. Your confirmation email will give instructions on how to register your vehicle's license plate a few days prior to your visit.
You may also explore La Crosse tourist and lodging information at www.explorelacrosse.com.
Can I bring family members or guests to this event?
Each student is allowed to bring two guests with them to Senior Visit Day. If you choose to bring another admitted student, please have them register online or email admissions@uwlax.edu as all students are given a personalized agenda.
I am unable to attend a Senior Visit Day event. Will this negatively impact me in any way?
No, the Senior Visit Day events are optional.
If you cannot attend a Senior Visit Day event, we encourage you to attend one of our Campus Close-Up programs offered Friday, February 16, 2024, and Friday, April 26, 2024. Campus Close-Up is a day-long visit program designed to give you the opportunity to learn more about UW-La Crosse including our: academic programs, financial aid, and the admissions process. Members of the Vanguard organization lead a panel discussion about campus life, and the day concludes with a one-hour walking tour of campus led by a current student.
We also offer campus walking tours Monday-Friday at 11:00am and 2:15pm. Both of these visit options can be viewed and scheduled at www.uwlax.edu/visit.
When does registration close?
We will close registration when the event is full. We can accommodate a specific number of students at this event, so please do not delay your registration if you would like to attend!
I have more questions about this event. Who do I contact?
If you have any questions, please email admissions@uwlax.edu.
What is the difference between Senior Visit Day and Campus Close-Up?
Senior Visit Day and Campus Close-Up agendas differ in structure, focus, and audience engagement.
Senior Visit Day
Tailored for admitted students, emphasizing next steps as you prepare to transition to life on campus. This visit type is more concise, featuring meetings with a representative from your intended major. Sessions focused on financial resources, college credit, campus involvement, and housing are provided.
Campus Close-Up
Targets a broader audience and serves as a comprehensive introduction for prospective students who may be visiting campus for the first time. This visit type offers multiple academic sessions to explore various majors as well as a student panel.
