Application FAQs
Transcripts and courses in progress submission
Transcripts and courses in progress (senior year courses) can be uploaded as part of your Universities of Wisconsin application. These items may also be emailed directly to Admissions.
Postpone Decision: What to expect next
Some applicants may be placed on a postponed list, meaning a decision will be made at a later date. Review of the postponed applicants begins in early December and continues thereafter, dependent upon the number of applications received and space available in the freshman class.
Postponed applicants have the opportunity to provide additional information to strengthen their application. This may include:
- Senior year grades (1st semester)
- ACT or SAT scores (if not previously submitted, or if improved)
- 1-2 letters of recommendation
- Updated course information (additional senior year courses, including college/university coursework)
Applicants on the postponed list will typically recieve and update after February 1 and will receive a final admission decision no later than May 1.

Test-Optional Admission Policy
As part of our temporary test-optional policy, applicants may choose whether to submit standardized test scores (ACT or SAT) with their application.
- Applications submitted without test scores are not at a disadvantage in the application review process
- Submitting test scores may enhance your eligibility for scholarships
Items to note:
- Scores may be reported by sending a scanned/screenshotted image of your score report to Admissions by mail or email.
- Your score may help provide a more complete picture of academic achievements and potential.
- Applicants may submit the ACT, the SAT, or both. We’ll consider your best score.
- If you choose to submit test scores and have taken an exam multiple times, you may use superscoring.
- Superscoring combines your highest section scores across all test dates to create your strongest possible composite score.
