Faculty & Staff Mentoring Program
The purpose of the voluntary CSH Faculty and Staff Mentoring Program is to provide an interdisciplinary academic atmosphere that supports and assists the development of professional skills of faculty and staff. For new faculty & staff, the program is intended to provide a support system for learning how to navigate academic culture at UWL, to offer an opportunity to develop a network of mentors that can provide guidance in teaching, scholarship and service activities, and to help in becoming an active member of the UWL community. The College program is not intended to replace mentoring by individual departments, but rather to complement these activities and enhance the advancement of new faculty and staff toward promotion, retention, and tenure. The College office coordinates a pool of senior faculty and instructional academic staff who are willing to serve as mentors with new faculty and instructional academic staff outside their department.
