Geography & Environmental Science kudos

Gargi Chaudhuri

Gargi Chaudhuri, Geography & Environmental Science, was invited by the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), New Delhi, to serve as an expert in an international consultation examining how “urban” is defined in India. The consultation’s findings will inform an evidence-based report to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India. Chaudhuri contributed insights on international practices, the rural-urban continuum and the governance challenges of peri-urban areas.
