UPDATES FROM ACROSS CAMPUS
Spring Break
Spring Break begins at 5:30pm, Friday, March 13, 2026.
Classes resume Monday, March 23, 2026.
Records and Registration
Shopping carts are open!
Timetables are available to view for Summer and Fall 2026 and shopping carts are open! You can view your enrollment appointment in WINGS on March 5th and use Schedule Planner to begin planning your Fall schedule. Thinking of changing majors? Make sure to submit your change of major form before midsemester (March 13) to have it reflected in your plan before registration opens in April!
Financial Aid
Summer Financial Aid
Students attending in summer may be eligible for Financial Aid.
For summer the 2026-27 FAFSA will be used.
If your student has not filed a 2026-27 FAFSA and is interested in summer aid, you should work with them to file that FAFSA as soon as possible. There is going to be a layout update in April that likely will delay FAFSA transactions getting to schools.
It's highly recommended to have the 2026-27 FAFSA sent to UWL by the end of March.
Once a student registers for summer classes, if a 2026-27 FAFSA is on file with us, we'll add a summer aid application to their to do list in WINGS. We'll award summer aid applications in the order they are submitted. Summer aid offers will start in mid-April after registration starts.
A reminder that aid offers for continuing students for fall and spring will start in June after spring class grading is complete.
Commencement
Graduating Seniors: Order your Regalia!
Remember to order your regalia; the deadline for associate and bachelor's degree candidates is March 21, if they want to pick it up at Caps Off to Commencement (April 22). More information about Commencement apparel can be found here.
Remember to submit your application to graduate by April 1 to ensure that your name is included in the Spring Commencement program. For more information, visit the Commencement website.
Residence Life
Spring Break Information
Residence Halls will remain open and available to on campus students during the Spring Break for no additional charge. However, Front Desks will be closed and the Eagle Mail Center will have limited hours during that week as many student employees will be taking the break away from campus!
Summer Housing Application
Summer Housing Application and Contract for Summer 2026 will open on March 13. The Application can be found in the Housing Portal.
Dining Services
All Things Dining
Spring Semester is an exciting time on campus! Not only does the weather get nicer (eventually), but we have a ton happening in Dining!

It will be an outstanding night and we hope to see your student there!
We are constantly launching new items in The Cellar! We now offer homemade Calzones and will be launching Root Beer Floats soon!
Three new on-trend items are coming to Murphy’s Mug! Students should keep their eyes open for these items in the next few weeks!

Graduate and Extended Learning
Graduate Opportunities
Did you know that UWL offers graduate certificates, master's degrees, and even two doctoral degree programs?
Current undergraduate students who might be interested in graduate study after college can learn more about UWL's graduate programs by attending the 3 Minute Grad Project Competition, on Wednesday, March 25 from 6-7:30 pm in the Student Union Theater.
3 Minute Grad Project is a fast-paced competition that challenges students to share their passion for their graduate work in a three-minute presentation, using just a single slide. It's a great way to learn about the variety of programs at UWL, and hear first-hand from students about their experiences.
You can learn more about the event by visiting the 3 Minute Grad Project website. Or, check out our program options by visiting our online graduate program listing.
