Cartwright Center Building Manager

The building manager group is a team of eight students who manage Cartwright Center when the administrative offices are closed, Monday – Friday; all hours of operation on Saturdays and Sundays; and during summer and breaks as needed. Student managers are responsible for AV setup, managing reservations, acting as a liaison with building services, and for the security and safety of the building and its occupants. 

Cartwright Center Information Counter Staff

The Information Counter staff of eight are responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for all who call or come into Cartwright Center.  Greeting people and answering questions is the number one priority.  Other tasks include selling event and bus tickets, assisting with AV setups, and checking out equipment.  Hours on weekdays begin at 7am and go through 11 pm.  Weekend hours vary.

University Reservations Assistant   

This group of five staff assist with the details of reservations management.   This includes making reservations, answering questions, setting up AV equipment, and doing follow-up evaluations.  Hours are weekdays from 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. 

University Event Support (UES) Staff

This eight to ten member team supports events that require technical services ranging from a lecture  setup through large-scale sound and light production for concerts.  Most events take place in Cartwright, outdoor spaces, or at the REC.  In addition to event support, staff members help maintain equipment and assist with inventory and other projects.  Except for weekly meetings, shifts are based on event needs and are mainly in the evening or on weekends.
