The Student Union provides space for all students to relax as they recharge between classes. They will find a place to relax by one of the four fireplaces, dining with friends, or listening to music in the Entertainment Cafe. The Union is designed to provide a supportive and safe place where all students will feel at home.

The UWL Student Union bucket list

1. See a free movie in the Theater.

The Campus Activities Board offers free movies in the Theater on Thursday and Friday of every week. The Union Programming Board works with CAB to also show movies on Saturdays in between October and March.

2. Wander through the "PLAY" wall and challenge your friends to a game.

Rent pool, air hockey, foosball, and darts equipment at the Info Center with your Eagle ID.

3. Take the lawn game equipment outside and play on the U Lawn.

Corn hole, badminton, bocce ball, and giant Jenga are available for free at the Information Center with your Eagle ID.

4. Window paint doesn't have a "U" in it, but your student org could do it.

Reserve the opportunity for your student org to paint the windows in between Einsteins and Sono to publicize your org and events!

5. Enjoy some coffee while you study in the Jungbluth Fireplace Lounge. 

6. Visit the COVE and all it has to offer.

Student organizations and their offices, study spaces, services, and the Campus Food Pantry.

7. Find out about the programming people in your neighborhood and attend a CAB or UPB event in the E-Cafe.

The Campus Activities Board and the Union Programming Board host fun events almost every day of the week! Find them on the events calendar on MyOrgs.

8. Find the open study room(s) for the day.

Visit the whiteboard by the Info Center to see which meeting rooms are open to all UWL students to study for that day.

9. Get a breath of fresh air on one of our patios.

Our patios on the first, second, and third floors are available for relaxing and studying, weather permitting. 

10. Grandad, Cliffwood, Miller - What do these three names have in common? Visit the Bluffs room on the second floor to see and enjoy the largest events the building has to offer.

11. Visit the UW-Credit Union and no fee ATM for your financial needs.

12. Get geared up! Find the newest UWL swag in the University Bookstore.

The University Bookstore is located on the first floor of the U but you can also shop online here.

13. Visit It Make$ Cents to get more information about scholarship resources in this space.

It Make$ Cents and the Scholarship Resource Center are now located in the lower level of the building right next to Textbook Rental.

14. Hungry? Meet Shawn while he prepares the sandwich of the day.

One of the best dining options on campus! Visit UW-La Crosse Dining to find out which sandwich is being served today.

15. Did You Know? The Union displays an educational poster series that rotates monthly.

Stop and read the posters right inside the north side entrance to the building, across from the UW-Credit Union.

16. Find Waldo in the UWL mural on the lower level.

A great activity to try while you are eating food from the Cellar.

17. Pop into 3200 on Wednesdays for free popcorn.

The University Centers administrative offices are a great resource for many things, but especially the free popcorn from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Wednesdays.

18. Visit the place on the first floor where the rivers symbolically meet.

The architectural design of the U honors the bluffs and rivers in La Crosse.

19. Add your preferred name to your Eagle ID in the Eagle ID/Dining Plan office.

Located in between the UW-Credit Union and the Information Center!

20. Snack on some lettuce from one of the Tower Gardens.

21. Study in the Eagle Nest lounge in the COVE.

The study zone of the COVE features a patio overlooking the bluffs.

22. Attend or host an event with the outdoor fire pit.

The outdoor fire pit is located on the south end of the building facing the Prairie Springs Science Center. 

23. Take in the various art displays throughout the building. You can even find a piece by Picasso.

There are 3 new art pieces displayed in the building that were created by UWL students!

24. Check out and return your textbooks at Textbook Rental located on the lower level.
