College of Science & Health (CSH)

Ambassador Program

About the Program

Philosophy. The College of Science and Health Ambassador Program is intended to showcase student experiences as part of the UWL College of Science and Health (CSH) public image while helping to develop professionalism in its students. The College of Science and Health recognizes that part of its excellence is its people, including its students. The College is able to connect and relate to a different audience by using students to tell their own stories while at UWL.

Eligibility. The CSH Student Ambassador must be a declared major in a College of Science and Health program. In addition, the student must be in good academic standing, have successfully completed 30 credit hours of coursework at UWL, and have at least one semester of coursework remaining before graduation.

Responsibilities. CSH Student Ambassadors are called upon to represent the College of Science and Health in a variety of ways. These include but are not limited to recruitment events on and off campus, other recruitment activities, and through social media.

Benefits. Students who are chosen to participate in the CSH Student Ambassador Program learn how to represent themselves and organizations that they belong to in a professional manner. This includes learning how to address different audiences to accomplish different communication goals.

Expected time commitment. CSH Student Ambassadors are expected to work in a CSH Ambassador capacity for at least 10 hours a semester.

Duration of Program. After each semester, the College of Science and Health will review the Ambassador’s portfolio to determine if the Ambassador will be invited back to the Program the following semester.
