Let's Talk is a brief, confidential, individual consultation with a counselor to explore whether or not they should try counseling, to have a single brief conversation about a specific issue, to ask a question, or to express concern about a friend. Let's Talk is not a substitute for counseling or urgent care but is a great place to start.

Let's Talk consultations are in-person and first-come, first-serve.

For more information check the Let'sTalk website.

If you are unsure as to how to access any of this information or have any questions or concerns, please call us at 608-785-8073

Private Appointment Locations

If you are lacking a safe, private space where you can be alone for your appointment there are options on campus.

  • Check out the reservable locations available at the COVE located in the Union.
  • Reserve an “Interview Room” in Wittich Hall through your UWL Campus Outlook Calendar. Directions can be found here. Rooms are available Monday through Friday 8 am – 4 pm. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
    • Note: COVE and Wittich Hall UWL staff not affiliated with CTC will be able to access the information you choose to provide. We recommend creating reservations for private meetings.
  • Additional locations for private space can be found in Centennial Hall study rooms (2306, 2307, 2308, 3306, 3307, & 3308).
    • Study rooms will not provide the technology needed and sanitization is not guaranteed.
  • Call Counseling & Testing to reserve a telehealth room in our office at 2106 Centennial Hall.
    • Rooms are for CTC telehealth appointments only and must be reserved in advance as space is limited. Talk with your counselor in advance or call 608-785-8073 for options.

Tips for Creating a Private Space for an Appointment

  • Be alone
  • Shut doors and windows
  • Turn on a radio, tv, or white noise machine outside of your space
  • Use headphones
  • Schedule your appointment during a time when others may not be around

*Counselors' Zoom Meetings will be "locked" so that they can be sure they are admitting only you at the time of your appointment. Please do not try to reach a counselor via Zoom at times you are not scheduled to meet. They may be meeting with other students and unable to speak with you, and counselors do not monitor private rooms at all times. Zoom is not a platform for seeking CTC crisis services/
