American Marketing Association

The American Marketing Association (AMA), affiliated with the national level AMA, gives students an opportunity to meet and work with their student colleagues on a variety of marketing related activities.

Recently, our AMA chapter, which boasts 140 members from a variety of majors, has been recognized as the fifth largest collegiate chapter in the world. Read more about this accomplishment from this Campus News article.

UWL Eagle Sales Team

Sales Team in Eau Claire

The UWL Sales Team participated in a national competition, The Great Northwoods Sales Warm-Up, at UW-Eau Claire on October 24th-26th. Each team member role plays for 20 minutes with a professional buyer and the event is judged by professional salespeople. Students receive individual feedback by the judges. Some of the corporations sponsoring this event include: Hormel, Fastenal, Gartner, Medix, Henry Schein, Hilti, Liberty Mutual, UNFI, and Grayber. Congratulations to the Sales Team on making a great impression with these companies! The Sales Team includes the following Marketing students: Tyler Peterson, Zach Rasmussen, Danni Abbrederis, Megan Borgmeyer, and Travis Berg. Nice job representing UWL!!

Eagle Sales Club

A new club for UWL business students! The Eagle Sales Club is a professional development club that focuses on communication skills, sales strategy, problem-solving, and critical thinking. They bring in sales professionals from various industries to speak about their careers and different aspects of their job. A huge component of this is Q&A from students, making these days very interactive and personalized to what students are most interested in hearing about. They also have a variety of different sales competitions that students can compete in to practice their sales skills. Come to informational meetings after winter break to see what this club is all about!
