  • It Make$ Cents! is a financial literacy program at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse that addresses the financial concerns of students that are unique to college life. It aims at equipping students with the knowledge, skills and resources necessary to integrate and maintain lifelong financial wellness. The initiative provides programming and one-on-one consultations upon request. Students learn important aspects of financial wellness including information about scholarships, affording college, credit, and budgeting.
  • The Scholarship Resource Center (SRC) is a resource for students who are focused on finding alternative funding for their education. The SRC is committed to helping students locate scholarships, grants and cash awards that fit their unique qualifications, educate them on submitting high quality applications and ultimately, see them further their education by receiving funds to fund that education.
  • Campus Food Pantry – The Leadership & Involvement Center (LIC) coordinates the food pantry on campus that is available to UWL students, faculty, and staff. The Food Pantry is located in 2220 Student Union, inside the COVE.
  • Campus Thread – UWL’s free clothing closet.
  • Student Life Emergency Fund
  • RentPad – renter education, guides, and resources.
  • Legal Services – free professional legal advice
  • Living-On Campus – if interested in living on-campus again, complete the returner housing application
  • Counseling and Testing – offers confidential counseling and academic skill building services to currently enrolled UWL and Western students. To get started, call or stop in to make an appointment.
  • Student Health Center – UWL Student Health Center is operated by Mayo Clinic Health System and offers on-campus access to Mayo Clinic services including primary care, same-day care and physical therapy. The Student Health Center is dedicated to serving the unique healthcare needs of UWL and Western students.
  • ACCESS Center – Promotes equal access and educational opportunity for students with disabilities and provides services to students attending UW-La Crosse who have a documented disability. ACCESS Center staff will meet with students and - based on documentation - determine appropriate academic accommodations to help you accomplish your academic goals and give you the support you need through graduation.
