  • Your profile page and email signature – Easy access to edit your profile page — one of the primary ways members of the media, community and potentially even current and prospective students learn about you. Try Googling your name. It’s likely your profile page is one of the top results. An up-to-date and well-written profile page helps make a good first-impression for people looking for you. Your profile page can be found by visiting the “Our People” section of department and office websites and can be edited at https://share.uwlax.edu/profile.
  • Campus Connection – In this weekly newsletter sent to campus every Monday, we share campus news and information and acknowledge achievements. Every individual with a UWL NetID is able to submit:
    • Announcements – Announce something the campus should know — it could be a short piece of news or information that could also go externally.
    • Kudos – Submit a kudos to acknowledge an achievement/award after it occurs. Kudos will also be listed on your profile page.
    • Thanks – Let someone know you appreciate what they did.
    • Classifieds – Advertise something for sale or to give away.
  • Calendar events – When you submit an in-person or virtual event, it will be displayed on the campus calendar and non-meeting events will display on UWL’s events page. https://www.uwlax.edu/events/
  • Digital signs – Submit a digital sign for monitors across campus. No design experience is necessary – we provide the templates for you. Or you can submit your pre-made sign with the correct dimensions. Note: An event must be entered into the campus calendar in order to create a digital sign about an event.   • Articles and story tips – Pitch a story to us for alumni publications, the media , campus news or other online publications (tell us why it is different, exciting, and/or important.) Provide at least a two week’s notice.
*Please note that requests for stories, design work or other special projects are reviewed and assigned based on staff availability. Priority is given to projects for the media/public relations, and student recruitment. Projects are also evaluated based on alignment with UWL’s strategic priorities.
