There are many opportunities to participate at UWL or within the La Crosse community. Whether it’s exploring something new with friends or on your own, these are experiences that will help shape your second year. These opportunities allow for you to explore your interests and passions, and they build your resume and experience for job or internships.

  • MyOrgs is the virtual hub for all organizations on campus. Through MyOrgs, you can find organizations to join, create or attend events, and track your involvement! To check out the complete list of organizations we offer, check out MyOrgs today!
  • Ugetconnected matches prospective volunteers with service opportunities that fit their interest, skills, and availability. Ugetconnected is a collaboration between Great Rivers United Way, UW-La Crosse, Viterbo University, and Western Technical College, and more than 125 community agencies in our area and also serves as an “online yellow pages” when searching for community non-profit organizations.
  • Find campus leadership positions – become an Eagle Guide, Resident Assistant, or a Vanguard.
  • Find Events
  • Handshake – find internship and full-time job postings and apply online, be considered for on-campus interviews for open positions, learn about jobs and internships available through Career Fairs, create job search agents to receive an email when new positions that match your criteria are posted, and much more!
  • The Student Association is proud to serve as the official voice of all enrolled UW-La Crosse students. The Student Association works to allocate student segregated fees, propose improvements to university policies, and communicate concerns to administrators and other members of the campus community.
  • International Education & Engagement – Global experiences for students, education abroad, cultural coffee hour events, and education abroad/away fair.
  • Student Research, Creativity and Experiential Learning (SRCEL) – UWL is dedicated to supporting research and other scholarly and creative activities by students in all academic disciplines.
  • Participate in multicultural dialogue and events. Visit the Center for Transformative Justice, the Office of Multicultural Student Services, the Pride Center, or participate in a multicultural student organization to learn more.
  • Join Rec Sports for intramurals, sport clubs, group fitness classes, rock climbing, outdoor adventure trips, and/or the EZONE.
  • Explore the La Crosse area – find new shops, places to visit, restaurants, and hikes.
