UWL Resources:

U-Pass with a valid UWL, WTC, or Viterbo Student I.D. card, students ride anywhere, anytime, on any MTU bus all over town!

Safe Ride Program offers a safe and convenient ride between downtown and campus on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. There are bus stops on and off campus, around town and downtown, which are marked with a maroon and silver Safe Ride bus stop sign. No Student ID is required. 

Additional Resources:

  • Couleecap Work-n-Wheels Program provides zero interest auto loans to qualified low-income households. Participants must be currently employed and need a personal vehicle to get to and from their place of employment.  
  • La Crosse County Transportation Services provides information about public transportation, regional taxi services, intercity transportation, private-pay services, and more!

Great Rivers 2-1-1

Great Rivers 2-1-1 offers free, confidential community information and referrals 24 hours/day. Dial 2-1-1 or (800) 362-8255 to talk to an information and referral specialist. You may also connect with a specialist through the chat function on their website or through texting your zip code to 898211. 

Great Rivers 2-1-1 also offer a Crisis Hotline 24/7, where you can talk with a crisis specialist by dialing 2-1-1 or (800) 362-8255.
