Outreach
A page within Counseling & Testing

Thank you for considering CTC for your outreach request. We continue to prioritize the mental health of students and value our ability to support the campus through various activities and trainings.
Outreach Services
Learn about CTC Services
We suggest creating an activity to provide students the opportunity to familiarize themselves with available resources and services. Examples of activities:
- Assign a syllabus quiz on campus and student success resources which include familiarizing oneself with CTC hours, crisis resources, and services.
- Ask students to complete an online scavenger hunt
- Example: 1) Find 3 ways to support a friend in distress. 2) Identify where you can find a listing of campus crisis resources. 3) Describe what @uwlctc Instagram post was most helpful to you and why.
- For privacy of students and test takers please do not direct students to come inside the office for pictures or asking scavenger hunt questions. Resources are available on the website and brochures are located in the hall outside the office.
- Show your group the CTC website. Highlight Self-Help Resources, Where to Start, Patient Portal (For web-booking initial appointments), and crisis resources.

Mindfulness Institute for Emerging Adults (MIEA)
CTC, Wellness & Health Advocacy & Rec Sports have teamed up to provide non-credit Intro to Mindfulness courses to the campus community! UWL Intro to Mindfulness courses use curriculum designed by the Mindfulness Institute for Emerging Adults (MIEA) , formally known as Koru Mindfulness.
If you are a faculty/staff member wanting to include the course within your class, please complete the outreach request form.
Disclaimer: MIEA is not a substitute for mental health treatment nor is it a for credit class. Mindfulness is a useful tool that can be used in conjunction with counseling. Mindfulness groups are psychoeducational workshop-based classes and not counseling groups. If you have any questions, please contact CTC for more information.
