Accept/decline my financial aid offer

  • Students must either accept or decline their financial aid offer at their WINGS Student Center, To reduce the amount of loan, students should accept it and then reduce it. The amount accepted will be split equally between semesters unless the student is only attending one semester. Contact the Financial Aid Office about an exception to even disbursements.
  • For the 2022-23 academic year, print out the "Guide to Your Financial Aid Offer". Graduates print out the "Guide to Your Graduate Financial Aid".
  • Please note that students will not be able to accept "Your Other Loan Eligibility*". This amount is informational only to let students know the maximum amount that can be borrowed in either a Parent PLUS Loan, Graduate PLUS Loan or a private student loan. Any of these will require separate applications.
  • The amount listed as "Your Other Loan Eligibility*" is based on the predetermined cost of attendance minus any financial aid that is offered. In most cases, borrowing the entire amount listed as "Your Other Loan Eligibility*" will result in the student receiving a financial aid refund. Students are encouraged to only borrow what they need.
  •  If a student determines that they have borrowed more than needed, contact the Financial Aid Office about reducing the accepted loan(s) and returning funds to the lender.
  •  If a student declines or reduces an offered loan and later determines that the funds are needed, they can contact the Financial Aid Office to request the loan be added back onto the financial aid offer as long as school is still in session and the student is enrolled still at least half-time.
