UWL Resources:
UWL Student Health Center is operated by Mayo Clinic Health System and offers on-campus access to Mayo Clinic services including primary care, same-day care and physical therapy. The Student Health Center is dedicated to providing cost-effective, evidence-based, student-centered healthcare that promotes wellness and academic success in an atmosphere of kindness, inclusivity and respect.
UWL Counseling and Testing Center promotes students’ emotional, academic, social, and cultural growth through counseling, crisis intervention, and outreach within an atmosphere of confidentiality and inclusivity. To meet the needs of UWL and the region, they provide comprehensive testing services that adhere to nationally recognized standards.
Community Resources:
- La Crosse Health Center supports and welcomes all people regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or biological sex, including but not limited to lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, questioning, and intersex clients.
- Neighborhood Family Clinics provides quality medical care at a reduced rate in an effort to meet a growing need Western Wisconsin.
- St. Clare Health Mission creates access to health care for those who would otherwise find such services economically inaccessible.

- BadgerCare Plus is a health care program that assists low-income children, pregnant people, and adults in Wisconsin.

- REACH Center is a walk-in resource center offering housing navigation, homeless prevention, mental and behavioral health support, legal aid, violence prevention, and other support in one location.
Medication Resources:
- Drug Repository Program is a way for people with cancer or a long-term (chronic) condition who can't afford medicines to get what they need.
- HealthWell Foundation fills gaps by assisting with copays, premiums, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses for essential treatments and medications not covered by health insurance.
- Medicine Assistance Tool makes it easier for American patients, caregivers, providers and businesses to find more affordable ways to purchase prescribed medicines.
- NeedyMeds is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to improving access to affordable healthcare for individuals in need.
- Medication Drop-off Boxes are a convenient way to safely dispose of unused and expired medications.
