The UW Master of Science in Healthcare Administration is a partnership of UW Extended Campus and UW-La Crosse, UW-Parkside, UW-Platteville, UW-Stevens Point, and UW-Stout.

Today’s dynamic, complex healthcare environments need effective leaders with the knowledge and critical-thinking skills that a master’s degree provides. The online UW Master of Science in Healthcare Administration is an ideal choice for busy adults who are seeking advanced education that will allow them to move into a leadership position, but need the flexibility an online program offers.

The Mayo Clinic Health System – Franciscan Healthcare School of Anesthesia, the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse (UWL) Biology Department, and the Viterbo University School of Nursing have partnered to develop a program to meet the specific needs of the nurse anesthetist student during their doctoral education.

The School of Anesthesia (SOA) operates within the Mayo Clinic Health System – Franciscan Healthcare campus in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Students are taught in a didactic and clinical setting over 36 months of consecutive study.

The 30-credit Consortium MBA program, in collaboration with three other AACSB accredited MBA programs (UW-Eau Claire, UW-Oshkosh, and UW-Parkside), is designed for people like you - business people, engineers, health care providers and others interested in moving ahead in their careers. You will gain a broad, practical understanding of business, develop skills needed to manage change and recognize the opportunities it creates, and learn guidelines for confronting situations in an ethical and socially responsible manner. The University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium program offers opportunities for taking up to nine (9) credits of online MBA electives. Getting an MBA has helped our graduates obtain the promotions they sought, move into new professions or start and manage their own businesses.

The online UW Master of Science in Cybersecurity degree is a collaboration among eight UW campuses (UW-Green Bay, UW-La Crosse, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Parkside, UW-Platteville, UW-River Falls, UW-Stevens Point, and UW-Superior), giving you access to the best talent and resources of the UW System. You will take courses taught by esteemed faculty from eight UW campuses, each contributing diverse expertise from fields including computer science, engineering, political science, communications, economics, and mathematics.

The UW Master of Science or Graduate Certificate in Data Science is a collaboration of the University of Wisconsin Extended Campus and six University of Wisconsin institutions: UW-Eau Claire, UW-Green Bay, UW-La Crosse, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Stevens Point, and UW-Superior, bringing you the best and brightest data science instructors from across the UW System.

The data science master’s degree program will teach you how to harness the power of big data using the latest tools and analytical methods. You’ll learn how to clean, organize, analyze, and interpret data to derive meaning and impact business decisions. Upon graduation, you will be well prepared to solve problems using data, in virtually any industry including healthcare, computer science, information technology, retail, marketing, manufacturing, transportation, communication, education, insurance, finance, science, security, law enforcement, and more. 

In the certificate program, you’ll learn the basic principles of data science while also gaining hands-on experience using the latest technologies and methods within the field. Students who choose to take two courses a semester can complete the certificate program in one year. Strengthen your existing data science skills or build new ones to more effectively work with and communicate about data.

A strong leadership team has a significant impact on the quality of care provided to seniors. Acquire the strategic skills necessary to meet the changing demands of today’s seniors and contemporary senior living care models.

In the graduate-level Senior Living and Services Leadership Certificate, you’ll learn about senior care and services delivery, including:

  • Gerontology
  • Ethical, legal and regulatory factors
  • Generational dynamics
  • Healthcare financial management
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Healthcare human resource strategies

Courses are completed entirely online, an ideal format for busy professionals, especially those working variable shifts. Students with a bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply. Degree-seeking students in the Master of Science in Healthcare Administration may choose to earn the certificate as an additional credential.

UWL participates in offering an online Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Wellness Management, in partnership with UW-Extension along with UW-River Falls, UW-Stevens Point, and UW-Superior.  The program is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.  This program is a degree completion program designed to equip you with the skills necessary to design, develop, implement, and maintain health and wellness programs in the workplace.

Bringing together the expertise of the University of Wisconsin-Extension and four University of Wisconsin campuses - UW-Green Bay, UW-Parkside, and UW-Stevens Point, with additional instruction offered by UW-La Crosse-the Online University of Wisconsin Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management and Technology (HIMT) gives you the skills and competencies you need to be competitive in today's workforce. 

The HIMT program is designed to equip you with the skills to work and lead in the health data management field. Health information professionals maintain, collect, and analyze the data that doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers rely on to deliver quality healthcare. They are experts in managing patient health information, administering computer information systems, and coding diagnoses and procedures for healthcare services provided to patients.

Clinical laboratory science students who select to complete the required year-long clinical at the Mayo School of Health Sciences (MSHS) enroll at MSHS rather than at UW-La Crosse. The courses taken during the year-long clinical at MSHS meet UW-La Crosse CLI program requirements. The student must request an official transcript be sent to UW-La Crosse from MSHS. Upon successful completion of the clinical and all other graduation requirements, the students are awarded the Bachelor of Science degree from UW-La Crosse. The Mayo School of Health Sciences (MSHS) grants a Certificate of Completion in Clinical Laboratory Science.

Nuclear Medicine Technology students who select to complete the required year-long clinical at the Mayo School of Health Sciences (MSHS) enroll at MSHS rather than at UW-La Crosse. The courses taken during the year-long clinical at MSHS meet UW-La Crosse NMT program requirements. The student must request an official transcript to be sent to UW-La Crosse from MSHS. Upon successful completion of the clinical and all other graduation requirements, the students are awarded the Bachelor of Science degree from UW-La Crosse. The Mayo School of Health Sciences (MSHS) grants a Certificate of Completion in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
