UWL Resources:

Murphy Library Technology Rentals offers different technology tools for checkout to any current UW-La Crosse student or staff member with a valid UWL ID.

UWL's Information Technology Services can assist you with getting access to needed software for your classes. 

Additional Resources:

  • Couleecap Education Program provides financial assistance for exam fees, laptops, books, equipment, tuition, childcare, or transportation. Students must be working part time, be 18+ years old, and meet income requirements.
  • Lifeline is a federal program that lowers the monthly cost of phone and internet. You can get Lifeline based on your income; if you use SNAP, Medicaid, or other governmental programs; or by qualifying through your children/dependents. There is also a Tribal Lifeline for those who live on Tribal lands.
  • Wisconsin Public WiFi Map displays public WiFi locations that have been self-reported by entities and individuals.

Great Rivers 2-1-1

Great Rivers 2-1-1 offers free, confidential community information and referrals 24 hours/day. Dial 2-1-1 or (800) 362-8255 to talk to an information and referral specialist. You may also connect with a specialist through the chat function on their website or through texting your zip code to 898211. 

Great Rivers 2-1-1 also offer a Crisis Hotline 24/7, where you can talk with a crisis specialist by dialing 2-1-1 or (800) 362-8255.

Findhelp.org

Findhelp.org is a search engine that offers local and community resources for a variety of needs including, but not limited to food concerns, housing concerns, health concerns, financial concerns and more.
