Campus libraries

The primary library at UWL is Murphy Library, which also administers the Special Collections and Area Research Center and the Alice Hagar Curriculum Resource Center.

The following are additional libraries on campus:

Center for Transformative Justice

Collection: The Campus Climate Resource Library is full of amazing, thought-provoking, intellectually-stimulating books and DVDs! Resources are organized into the following categories: Ethnic and Racial Studies, Gender Studies, Sexuality Studies, (dis)Ability Studies, Religious and Spirituality Studies, Socio-Economic Studies, Social Justice Advocacy, Criminal Justice, Politics/U.S. History, and Miscellaneous

Circulation: Books may be checked out by UWL students, faculty, and staff for four weekdays and DVDs for two weeks. Please email to renew.

Collection: The Counseling & Testing Lending Library has a wide variety of books focused on mental health and overall wellness.  Resources are organized into the following categories: ADHD, Anxiety, Depression & Mood, Disordered Eating & Body Image, Mindfulness, Relationships & Family, and Miscellaneous. 

Circulation: Books may be checked out by UWL students, faculty, and other patrons for three weeks with possible renewals.

Marian D. Hammes Early Childhood Center

Collection: Contains a collection of books, kits, activities, and toys to use with young children.
Circulation: Materials are available to borrow as needed by UWL students and Early Childhood Educators in the community.

Music Listening Lab

Location: Room 124 Center for the Arts Building

Collection: Listening Lab collection contains anything from Classical, Jazz, to Modern Rock. We a have Multi-media collection that includes: Albums, Compact Disc, Cassettes, VHS tapes, DVD's, and Musical Scores.

Pride Center

Race, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Resource Center

Collection description: Contains a small circulating library of books and periodicals, plus information and brochures for services, jobs, careers, and graduate schools.

Circulation: Books and journals are cataloged through Murphy Library. Books may be checked out by anyone in 4300 Centennial Hall (fill out the card and leave it at the front desk).
