Individual research consultation

Use the form below to request a research consultation with a librarian.

  • Research Consultations provide an opportunity for individuals, or groups working on group projects, to meet with a librarian for in-depth and personalized research assistance.

  • Research consultations are offered as a supplement to regular reference services.  Please consider whether we might be able to help you effectively from the reference desk (walk-up, phone, email, chat, or text; no appointment necessary) before you request a research consultation.

  • Once you complete the form, you will hear back from a librarian via email.  You will then work with that librarian to finalize the day, time and place for your meeting.

  • Sessions will usually be held in a librarian's office, but arrangements can also be made to meet in faculty/staff offices.

  • This service is offered to UWL students, faculty, and staff, as well as to patrons accessing Federal or Wisconsin government depository materials.
