Intramural sports typically hires officials for our contact sports. We are UNABLE to offer any contact sports for the 2020-2021 semesters due to COVID-19.
In the event that we are able to offer contact sports in future semesters, we will open up the application process. Officials are provided a quality hands-on experience both on and off the court/field while developing skills in conflict resolution, team building, time management, communication, and leadership in a fun and exciting atmosphere with flexible hours.
All officials are encouraged to join the UWL Student Officials Association (SOA). The SOA holds biweekly meetings and also sends qualified officials out into the community for other opportunities. Additional information about SOA can be shared by contacting intramurals@uwlax.edu.
A copy of the officials and scorekeepers job description can be found here.

Each year, Intramural Sports employs students to officiate contests in a variety of activities. Officials are required to attend training clinics specific to each activity and anyone classifying as a "new" official must attend a New Officials Meeting which will cover the employment process/paperwork and provide an overview of the Intramural Sports program.
